After 24 years of marriage, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania are as in love as ever. On Saturday June 10th, the Jordanian Queen consort celebrated her wedding anniversary by sharing a touching Instagram photo of herself and her husband.

A Tech-savvy Queen, who was one of the first royals to set up an account on the photo-sharing social media site, paid tribute to her other half and also shared a snap of a recent photo taken of the couple at their residence

"After 24 years, I still feel like the luckiest woman in the world! Happy anniversary, Your Majesty ❤," Rania captioned a photo of herself looking lovingly at King Abdullah.

History:
Their Majesties first met at a dinner party organised by the then prince's sister in August 1992. It was clearly love at first sight and a mere five months later January 1993, they got engagement, and two months later the couple announced their engagement. In June, five months after they first crossed paths, Rania and Abdullah married at Zahran Palace. Her Majesty who became a princess after her marriage wore a custom Bruce Oldfield wedding gown, with a simple hairband instead of a tiara, as well. She wore another custom dress by the designer for the reception. Abdullah wore his military uniform.

The pair welcomed their first child Crown Prince Hussein on June 28th 1994, followed by their daughter Princess Iman on September 27th 1996, then Princess Salma and finally Prince Hashem(who was born on the same day as King Abdullah II).

In 1999 a surprising turn of events saw Rania proclaimed Queen of Jordan. The then 22 year old Rania Al-Yassin was an employee for Citibank branch in Jordan.
