His Majesty King Abdullah II is on a working visit to the United States since Monday, although Their Majesties arrived last week and spent the Thanksgiving weekend with their daughter Princess Iman.

His Majesty began a first day of solo meetings on Monday by meeting senior US administration officials, where various discussions covered means to bolster Jordan’s strategic partnership with the United States, as well as current regional developments.

Amongst those who met with His Majesty, was United States Vice President Mike Pence, the two sides affirmed the deep-rooted Jordanian-US ties, and their keenness to build on them in various areas, as well as maintaining coordination and consultation on regional and international issues.

For today, His Majesty was meeting with the US Senate Committee on Appropriations and was accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania
