Tomorrow is Jordan's 72nd independence day but earlier today a ceremony was organized at Al Husseiniya Palace.

His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and Her Royal Highness Princess Salma, attended a ceremony at Al Husseiniya Palace.

Upon arrival at the venue, His Majesty was received with a military reception that included a 21-gun salute, and then inspected the honour guard.




Thursday's ceremony was attended by Royal Family members notably His Majesty's mom HRH Princess Muna and siblings HRH Prince Feisal with his wife Princess Zeina, HRH Prince Hamzah and HRH Prince Hashem, uncle HRH Prince Raad bin Zeid, HRH Prince Ali Bin Nayef,  HRH Prince Asem Bin Nayef, HRH Princess Sana Asem, Princess Ayah(daugther to Prince Feisal) & her husband Mr. Mohamad Halawani, HRH Princess Ayah, HRH Prince Talal and his wife Princess Ghida Al Talal with their son prince Hussein bin Talal, Prince Ali Bin Nayef and Princess Reema, Prince Asem bin Nayef & Princess Sana Al Asem and senior officials and officers and others.





Senior government officials, Prime Minister Hani Mulki, Senate President Faisal Fayez, Speaker of the House of Representatives Atef Tarawneh, and Judicial Council President Mohammad Ghazou delivered speeches that highlighted Jordan’s achievements since its independence.


They affirmed that Jordan’s success is due to the resolve of its people and Hashemite leadership, which have turned the Kingdom into a distinguished model regionally and internationally.


During the ceremony, His Majesty bestowed medals on a number of leading national institutions and a group of distinguished Jordanian men and women, in appreciation for their contributions to Jordan’s prosperity and progress, and in recognition of their success at the national and international levels.
